101Connect is built on Kingdom values. These Terms exist not merely as legal protection, but as a covenant of trust — ensuring every participant experiences a marketplace defined by integrity, fairness, and excellence.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the 101Connect platform ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you may not use the Platform. 101Connect is a faith-aligned professional marketplace operated for and by the New and Living Way Church (NLWC) community. Membership implies a commitment to conduct business with integrity, excellence, and godly character.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and a verified member or affiliate of the NLWC community to create an account. By registering, you represent that all information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it current. 101Connect reserves the right to verify membership claims and revoke access for misrepresentation.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. Each person may hold one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent suspensions or platform rules is prohibited. Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is required for all administrator accounts and strongly encouraged for all users.
4. Business Listings & Vetting
All business listings on 101Connect are subject to a vetting process before becoming publicly visible. Submission of a listing does not guarantee approval. Listings must accurately describe the services offered and may not contain false, misleading, or exaggerated claims. 101Connect reserves the right to request supporting documents, reject listings, request changes, or remove approved listings at any time if they are found to be in violation of these Terms or community standards.
5. Escrow & Transactions
101Connect provides an integrated escrow service to facilitate secure transactions between buyers ("Customers") and sellers ("Business Owners"). By initiating or accepting a transaction, both parties agree to the escrow terms, including milestone definitions, fund release conditions, and the dispute resolution process. The platform fee of 3.5% (subject to change via platform configuration) is deducted at the time of fund release. Funds held in escrow are not available until released according to the agreed milestone terms or resolved through dispute arbitration.
6. Disputes
If a dispute arises between a Customer and a Business Owner, either party may raise a formal dispute within the Platform. 101Connect administrators will review the dispute and may request supporting documentation from both parties. The administrator's decision is final and binding for platform purposes. 101Connect is not a legal arbitration body; parties retain their right to seek independent legal counsel. Funded milestones auto-release to the seller after 7 days of buyer inactivity following milestone submission, unless a dispute is raised before that period expires.
7. Community Conduct
All users are expected to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with Christian values — including honesty, fairness, patience, and respect. Prohibited conduct includes but is not limited to: fraud, harassment, defamation, circumventing the platform to avoid fees, leaving false reviews, sharing another user's private information, and engaging in any transaction designed to manipulate the ranking or review system. Violations may result in suspension, permanent ban, and/or reporting to appropriate authorities.
8. Reviews & Ratings
Reviews must be based on genuine transactions completed through the Platform. Soliciting, incentivising, or fabricating reviews is strictly prohibited. 101Connect reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these Terms. Business Owners may report reviews they believe are fraudulent; however, negative reviews based on authentic experiences will not be removed solely because the subject disagrees with the content.
9. Intellectual Property
All content you upload (photos, descriptions, logos) remains your property. By uploading it, you grant 101Connect a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and reproduce it for the purpose of operating the Platform. You must not upload content that infringes a third party's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights. 101Connect's own branding, design, and software are protected and may not be reproduced without written permission.
10. Privacy
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review the Privacy Policy to understand our data practices.
11. Limitation of Liability
101Connect provides the Platform on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, 101Connect shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including loss of business, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the platform fees paid by you in the 3 months preceding the claim.
12. Termination
101Connect may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or conduct incompatible with the community's values. You may close your account at any time from your account settings. Upon termination, your public listing will be archived (soft-deleted); transaction records will be retained as required for legal and financial compliance.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-platform notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes not resolved through the Platform's internal process shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
